Facial expressions

Face is a strong key to understanding each other. They say that we are able to catch smile of the face of a person if he is as far as eleven meters away. At the same time it is very hard to define the emotions which are not very common. For example, do you know what the difference between hate and disgust is? So, to understand the context, it is worthy comprehending the content and emotions as well. Sometimes context could be defined incorrectly due to the facial expression. At the same time the scholars assure us that we are able to define the emotions and feeling by the faces naturally. It is in our genes. I think there is a kind of sense in this theory. At least, when I am speaking to a person, I do not know why, but I can define if he is sincere or not. An important factor in this process is life experience and your minimal knowledge about this person. As I notice, long communication with a person allows to "foresee" his/her feelings even if his/her face does not show it. It is called empathy, if you want intuition.
Another theory tells that children who were raised away of their families, who did not experience natural home upbringing are not able to distinguish some facial expressions. However, there is another point of view. The matter is that such child can define only the emotions of the narrow spectrum. For example, he knows what it is like when somebody is crying, screaming, worrying or frightening. So, face that displays these emotions is familiar and symbolic to the child. A kind face could cause misunderstanding or even ignorance, because a child has never seen the features of kindness.
