Personal space

When you see a person for the first time, the main task of yours is to break the energetic circle which surrounds a person. The matter is that there is a certain space around every person. This area means much to everybody. It is the personal space of a person. If nobody breaks it, he feels relaxed and calm. If somebody interferes (who knows what his intentions are), a person feels tensed for some time until you make him feel empathy and trust towards you. So, smile and sincerity in your eyes are very important to fix this contact for the first some minutes. A person who allows you to shake his hand is half yours. Keep his hand in yours for some seconds, no longer in order to keep this contact stable; if it is ok, touch the shoulder as though you pretend to be a friend. Many politician and business personas connect their success with successful hand shaking. It means that if you are able to set up the contact since the very first minute, half way to your interlocutor's heart and mind is done. Then the words and prepositions come to the scene. But gentle and polite break of these thirty centimeters of personal space is important for the first acquaintance.
Perhaps, you notice how the politicians are conducting during the public routs and meetings with their electorate. They smile all the time, shake hands with direct eyes contact and keep straight towards every voter. So, it is worthy remembering when you start very important negotiations.
